GT Landscapes founder, Greig Morgan, began his career as a cabinet maker because he loves design, attention to detail and working with his hands. It was a profession he enjoyed, as it gave him the opportunity to craft exquisite things that made people happy.

A cabinet maker’s eye for detail comes to landscaping

However, one day he was stuck inside a dimly-lit cabinet-making factory toiling away while it was warm and sunny outside. At that moment he realised he wanted to work outdoors. But what profession could he pursue that would allow him to fulfil his dream and still make beautiful things? The answer was Landscaping.

In 1993, Greig joined Greenwood Associates Landscape Architecture as their Construction Manager. Richard Greenwood eventually encouraged Greig to go out on his own, knowing it was what Greig needed to do. Greig’s wife, Tracy, is an accountant. Together, they set up the business, creating the company name from their first initials, G and T. Hence, GT Landscapes was born. And the rest, as they say, is history.
